Happy New Year!

Tonight we spent the evening with the Gill family. I especially liked hanging out with Natalie, and even though she's 14 months older than me, I think I'll be passing her up in height in no time. I guess she gets her length from her mom Denise :-) I feel asleep around 8:00, but decided I didn't want to miss the ball drop so woke up at 11:50....just in time. I can't wait for all the fun and exciting moments I'll get to experience in 2009!

Happy 19 Weeks Bday to Me!

Ho, Ho, Ho

Daddy picked me up from daycare today and we visited Mom's work, and guess who was there.....SANTA!!! I got to take my first picture with Santa. I was giving all kinds of smiles to Mom's coworkers, that when it came time to get my picture taken, I was all out of smiles :-) Mom said she was just happy I didn't cry!

4 Month Checkup

Today I had my 4 month checkup and passed with flying colors. I grew almost 5 inches and am now measuring 25 3/4" long. My weight went up 3 1/2 pounds to 15 lbs. 6 oz. I had to get 3 more shots, which I did not enjoy but was probably made worse because I was both hungry and due for a nap. Other than that, the doctor said I'm growing just perfect and can start eating Rice cereal whenever Mom & Dad decide they're ready for that challenge.

For the last 4 months, everyone has said I look like daddy, but in recent weeks, mom keeps telling me she's finally seeing a little "Fernholz" in me. We'll let you be the judge!

Wow I've got cute feet!

I've recently discovered 'my little piggies', as mom likes to call them. So I tend to make diaper changing a bit more difficult for her since I always want to play with my toes.

Keep Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

After a few weeks of intense practice, I finally mastered the skill of rolling over today! I'm still having a little trouble getting my arm out from under me, but I'm sure that will be perfected in no time. Now if I can only figure out how to rollerover to my back, I'll be in business.

Happy Thanksgiving

Giggle Box

Although I have ocassionally giggled in my sleep, tonight I decided it was time to let Mom, Dad and Grandpa Gary hear some real giggles. Mom was so excited she almost started to cry. They kind of tired me out, so they didn't last too long, but maybe when mom figures out how to get her videos on the blog, she can upload my shining moment.

3 Month Picts

Today I had my 3 month pictures taken, although my mom and dad were not impressed with the photographer, so we'll see how well they turned out. I wasn't really in a smiley mood either, so that didn't help. Hopefully they'll be one good one in the bunch that I can share with you.
We also got to visit with Joe, Denise, Natalie & their cousins Saturday night. It sure was fun playing with all the other kids. Hopefully when dad (and the camera) get back from his trip to Hilton Head, mom can post some picts of us little munchkins.

First Friday With Daddy

Since I don't go to daycare on Fridays, today was my first day all alone with Daddy. I gave him kind of a hard time this morning, but once we came to an understanding, we had a great day together and only called Mommy 5 times. Being this is also my first MN winter and the snow started to fall, Dad thought it would be a good idea to capture 'my first snow fall'. I think he just wanted to see if my Vikings snowsuit would fit.

Happy 3 Month BDay to ME!!!

Today was day #3 at daycare, and so far so good. I was a bit tired from playing with the other kids, so I decided to relax with Dad tonight.

My First Election

Although Mom and Dad don't like to talk politics, they did bring me along for this year's election, as they said it was history in the making no matter who won. So they took a pict to prove that "I Voted" in this year's election!

I Just Love My Cousins!

Auntie Jodi and the kiddos came over this afternoon and I got to spend some time playing with my cousins. They couldn't stay too long though, but my mom was able to snap a quick pict of the gang.

Great Friends Are Such a Blessing!

Today Auntie Johanna, mom's good friend from high school, came over and played. She even brought me a cool toy that I'm going to love playing with. Hopefully someday I will be lucky enough to have such special friends like my mom!

Mom and Dad's "Little Pumpkin"

After several weeks of hearing Mom and Dad talk about Halloween, the big day has finally arrived! I had lots of fun meeting the other kids in the neighborhood...and I was really impressed with the modes of transportation they used... 4-wheelers, ice-houses, tractors, golf carts, etc. Dad said I was too little this year, but maybe next year he and I can go collect lots of candy. Oh, and the best news of all is that Mom will finally stop dressing me in those silly pumpkin outfits.

Zzzzzzz.....

Wow, have I been a tired little boy. I guess these last few days at daycare have wore me out. Although I've had a few 9 hours nights, last night's sleep was the record. I slept for 10 hours, woke up for a 1/2 hour feeding, and then went back to bed for another 3 hours!!! And that's not all...I had several long naps throughout the day. I think I'm gearing up for the big Halloween night that Mom keeps talking about.

Who knew 12 weeks could go by so fast

Well, today I turned 12 weeks and it was also Mommy's first day back to work. She cried more than a few times in the days leading up to today, but did alright and only cried once at work! But then again, she did leave early and picked me up by 3:00 :-) I also think it helped that I was so smiley and well behaved at daycare. My daycare provider, Kamie, was able to capture a few of my smiles and email them to Mom and Dad, so I think it helped both of them know I was doing OK. Mom is planning on working again tomorrow, but then won't be back in the office until November 5th.

My new friend from across the pond

Today Mommy had to get her flu shot at work, so I decided to tag along and meet all her Cargill coworkers. After we were done visiting, I got to meet my newest friend 'from across the pond'. One of Mom's old coworkers had a baby boy, Matthew, exactly 10 weeks after I was born. I had lots of fun playing with his dog Max and listening to his mommy and daddy's cool British accent. I think it also surprised Mommy at how much I'd grown, as I looked like a 'big boy' compared to Matthew, as you can see in the pictures!

Little Vikings Fan

After a few weeks of anxiously awaiting their arrival, mom was able to get my birth annoucements sent out today. She figured better late than never, and they were worth the wait. Sorry to disappoint everyone, but I won't be able to sign autographs for a few more years!

My First Pumpkin

The weather was great today, so Mom and I decided to carve pumpkins while Dad washed the cars. They turned out pretty well, but I don't think they'll look so nice when Halloween rolls around so Mom may have to carve them again!

Mom also thinks it's fun to dress me in Halloween outfits, which I don't always think is fun, as you can tell in the last pict.
