Isaac's Newborn Shoot

Today we had Melissa come out to the house and take Isaac's newborn pictures. He was actually pretty alert and stayed awake through most of the picts. She always does such a good job with us...take a look at a few of Mom's favorites.

Happy New Year!

Since my little brother is still so small, we decided to sta home for New Year's Eve. We were hoping our good friends the Gill Family would be joining us, but they weren't feeling so good so it was a quiet night @ the Johnson's.

Boys Time...

Tonight Dad helped me use my new toy shaver in the bath...it was one of my favorite Christmas gifts...mom said it's always the small things that I seem to like. I've really been enjoying having both mom & dad around while I get used to my new baby brother. So far I don't seem to pay too much attention to him but I do like to help mom put his 'nuky' back in his mouth.

Merry Christmas!

I started the day by seeing all the goodies in my Christmas stocking...and shortly after that Grandpa Gary and Auntie Janelle arrived. As you can see, I really must have been a good boy, as Grandpa brought me a pedal tractor!!! I can't wait for spring to arrive so I can ride this around. Then later in the day we went to Auntie Jodi and Uncle Chris's for the Fernholz Christmas...this was the first time everyone was together in a few years so it was fun seeing all my cousins I don't get to see all that often.

Baking Cookies for Santa

I wasn't sure if Mom would be up for baking cookies for Santa this year, but I talked her into it...needless to say, they didn't taste the best, but Santa must have liked them because he left me some great presents! Isaac got a free pass this year, but hopefully he can help with the cookies next year.

Introducing the Newest Johnson!

Late tonight, mommy gave birth to my new baby brother, Isaac Charles! She was in denial all day that she was really in labor and tried to work from home, but because we had a bad snowstorm, Auntie Jodi picked me up "just in case" Mom & Dad had to take a trip to the hospital. It's a good thing she did, as Isaac arrived at 11:10 pm. Everything went super and both Mom & Isaac are doing well. Mom said she is a true believer that heartburn during pregnancy equals lots of hair for the baby...check out Isaac's 'do' !! Looks like he'll have Daddy's hair, although it does have a bit of curl, so guess we'll have to wait and see.

Isaac's arrival was extra special, as Auntie Michele was also there to welcome him. Mom & Dad were nervous she wasn't going to make it in time, as Isaac was determined to arrive before midnight, but I think he was secretely waiting for Michele, as within 5 minutes of her arrival, it was time to push and he joined our family in just 2 short contractions!

Choo Choo....

Today Mom and I decided to make our first gingerbread train. It was quite an adventure, as Mom had never even made a gingerbread house before. Thank goodness it was a kit, otherwise I don't think we would have gotten it to stand upright. It was lots of fun, and I especially liked eating all the candy that was supposed to be used to decorate the train.

Johnson Family Thanksgiving

Since Mom & Dad love to shop the day after Thanksgiving, they offered to host this year so they didn't have to travel out of town. Here are a few picts of the kid and adult tables. Thanks Cargill for the turkey, it tasted yummy!

By the way, Happy Birthday to cousin Lydia today...and Grandma Carole on the 26th and Grandpa Chuck on the 28th!

Little Fireman!

Tonight I decided to put on my fire truck PJ's and wear the cool fireman's hat I got from the Hanover Fire Department. I continue to be "all boy", as Mom says, and love trucks, tractors and anything that goes vroom.

Twinkle Twinkle...

One of my favorite songs to sing is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"...I'm also a big fan of "Old McDonald", "You Are My Sunshine", "It's Raining, It's Pouring", and "Itsy Bitsy Spider". Often I will rest my head on Mom's belly and sing to Baby Johnson.

1st Snow!

Today was the first big snowfall this year and I was eager to get out my shovel and help Dad clear the snow from the drive way. I even prefer to shovel over going sledding...guess I must be like my dad and like a clean drive way!

Happy Halloween!

This year was the first time I got to visit some of my favorite neighbors and officially go "trick-or-treating". Mom & Dad took me around on 4-wheelers so I didn't have to walk much...thank goodness because it was pretty cold out! Since Magic was still gone this week, Mom had to make a quick costume change since my original costume required his participation...so I went as a "Little Dragon" instead. My costume was nice and toasty warm.

Quick Trip To Duluth

Our family took a quick trip to Duluth this weekend. It was lots of fun chasing the sea gulls at the lift bridge, and I did get to see one ship, although it was anchored in the lake so it didn't come through the bridge. I also got to see my neighbor Shane, who goes to school in Duluth...he plays with me a lot in the summer so I've missed him since he had to go back to school. Mom & Dad also took me to my first SCSU football game...it was quite cold and I enjoyed watching the band more than the game! We ended the day by staying at a waterpark in Brainerd, as tomorrow morning I'll get to see the Johnson side of the family for my cousin Dylan's Confirmation in Little Falls. It has been a crazy weekend, but lots of fun.

Can I Have a Treat?

"Can I have a treat?" seems to be my favorite thing to say lately...guess that's what happens when Mom leaves her stash of Halloween candy in plain sight. It has been good practice for me as I prepare for my first trick-or-treat adventure this Halloween.

Magic Update

Here's a recent pict of my buddy Magic. As you can see, he's grown quite a bit over the last several months. Dad was trying to decide if he was going to take him hunting this fall, but decided to send him to training instead. He'll be gone for about 5 weeks :-( ...the trainer said he has one of the best bird noses he's seen, but he's a very high energy/intense dog (he said we got the Nascar version instead of the Pinto). So it will be quiet around the house without him, but I'm sure he'll be having lots of fun chasing all the birds!
