Christmas In July...

Although some of you may already know, Mom and Dad said that I can finally make the big annoucement that our family will be expanding by 1 more sometime the end of December....I get to be a big brother! Who knows, maybe our family will be blest with an extra special gift this Christmas. Mom is just about done with 19 weeks and so far everything is going well. I even got to go with to her last doctor's appointment and heard the baby's heartbeat. It was also the first time I got to see the doctor who delivered me! For those who are wondering, there is no plan to find out if I'll have a little brother or a little sister so guess we'll all just have to wait and see.

FYI...this exciting news is also part of the reason why I haven't done such a great job of keeping my blog up-to-date...Mom usually helps me with it and hasn't been feeling the greatest and likes to sleep when she gets a chance.

Daycare is closed this week so Mom & Dad got to stay at home with me and enjoy the beautiful weather. Today was a perfect day to enjoy the sun and hangout by my pool and water table with Magic. As you can see, he seems to like my table as much as I do.

Hoop Dreams

As you can see, I've been practicing my basketball skills. My dribbling has even improved, but still can be a bit of a challenge with the smaller basketballs that seem to get away from me. And there is no need to worry, Dad ONLY makes me do 50 reps each day....just kidding of course.

Daddy's Little Side Kick

For the last several months, I have definitely been a Daddy's Boy. Whatever he is doing, I have to be right there by his side....that includes vacuuming.

Today was the end to a great weekend. I got to spend some time at the park swinging and running the bases on the baseball field...and then I got to try sweet corn for the first time and think this might be my new favorite food.

Why would I actually ride in my wagon to the park..it's so much more fun to pull it.

My First Vacation Away From Mom & Dad

Mom and Dad decided it was time for a much neded vacation and were invited by their good friends and neighbors, the Jewett family, to join them on their annual fishing trip to Canada. While they were in Canada, I got to spend some time at Auntie Janelle's & Uncle Jims, as well as a few days at Grandma & Grandpa Fernholz's. I had so much fun playing with all my cousins, I wish that Mom & Dad went on vacation more often.

Fiesta Days

For the second year in a row, I got to attend the Fiesta Days Parade in Montevideo. This time the DeZeeuw family got to join us so I got to spend some extra time hanging out with my cousins. Before the parade started, I got to tour some of the old trains that were on display at the depot in Monte...they didn't look quite like Thomas, but I still had fun.

By the end of the parade, I felt like a walking political billboard. As you can tell, I didn't say no to any stickers that were offered to me.
